Rosemary Bread

Ingredients:

  • 2 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 2 cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 Tablespoon  salt
  • 4 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • Olive Oil
  • Rosemary
  • Himalayan salt

Preparation:

  1. Dissolve the sugar in the warm water, and add the active yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
  2. Next, use a wooden spoon and gradually add in the flour. I recommend adding 1 cup at a time. Add the salt at this time as well.
  3. Next, cover the dough with a towel. Allow it to rise for 1 hour.
  4. Lightly drizzle olive oil over an oven-safe skillet.
  5. Lightly sprinkle the risen dough with flour and cover your hands. This will help you to handle the dough.
  6. Next, take the dough out of the bowl and form a disk.
  7. Place the dough into the skillet and cover it with a towel.
  8. Allow it to rise for 30 more minutes.
  9. Preheat the oven to 400℉.
  10. Drizzle some more oil over the top of the bread, and slash the dough with a knife creating an X. Sprinkle with coarse Himalayan salt and rosemary.
  11. Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is a deep brown color.
  12. Slice and enjoy with some olive oil, balsamic, & pepper mixed together in a small bowl!
