Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 teaspoon active dry yeast
- 2 cups warm water
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 Tablespoon salt
- 4 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
- Olive Oil
- Rosemary
- Himalayan salt
Preparation:
- Dissolve the sugar in the warm water, and add the active yeast. Let it sit for about 10 minutes.
- Next, use a wooden spoon and gradually add in the flour. I recommend adding 1 cup at a time. Add the salt at this time as well.
- Next, cover the dough with a towel. Allow it to rise for 1 hour.
- Lightly drizzle olive oil over an oven-safe skillet.
- Lightly sprinkle the risen dough with flour and cover your hands. This will help you to handle the dough.
- Next, take the dough out of the bowl and form a disk.
- Place the dough into the skillet and cover it with a towel.
- Allow it to rise for 30 more minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 400℉.
- Drizzle some more oil over the top of the bread, and slash the dough with a knife creating an X. Sprinkle with coarse Himalayan salt and rosemary.
- Bake for 40 minutes or until the top is a deep brown color.
- Slice and enjoy with some olive oil, balsamic, & pepper mixed together in a small bowl!
